Honda is publicly revealing the 2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport with their new Rebel rally wrap and as you guys know the pilot is the company’s full-size three-row family SUV it’s been in production since 2003 and it’s now in Its fourth generation.

The styling of the new PilotTrail sport is really like what Honda has done here just like on the new CRV you have the company’s new corporate design language.
2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport Design

it’s got full LED headlights with this kind of C-shape to the LED daytime running light LED low and high beams down you can see there’s a functional air vent that creates an air curtain over the wheels.
The Grille is pretty familiar to the new CRV how on the pilot it’s kind of wears the new styling very well Honda is going with a boxier kind of more masculine look.
The Trailsport was designed to be their off-road-oriented model however for this generation honda has really beefed up the capability they’re saying they’re giving this car about an inch more ground clearance than the final number just yet.
On the bottom side of the car, there’s actually a full skid plate underneath for the front of the engine compartment it’s actually 0.4 millimeters thick so that’s a serious upgrade that Honda really needs to give this car some true off-road capability.

The powertrain specs are just yet but Honda says this is built off of the light truck architecture the new Global one that the MDX is built under expecting it to be a 3.5 liter V6 with a 10-speed Auto but they also could surprise us with an electrified powertrain and a turbo.
Regarding the side profile of the vehicle the size of this vehicle now doesn’t have the final specs just yet but the pilot has kind of shed some of the minivans design cues of the previous generation gone with a boxier look the previous generation was around 194 inches long so suspect this is going to be a little little bit longer the MDX is around 198 inches long so this should be around the same size.
Honda Pilot Trailsport Tyres

The wheel that you get on the Trailsport It’s actually an 18-inch wheel wrapped in 265, 60, and R18 tires these are the kind of continental all-terrain tires mentioned earlier they gave this about an inch more ground Cruise it looks like it has around nine inches of ground clearance which again is going to give it enough capability.
Honda Pilot Trailsport Rear

In the rear, the Taillight design it’s very different from the HRV and the CRV it kind of has this kind of black bar that kind of connects the two taillights modules together it appears to be a full LED taillight design.
There’s a Trailsport badge over the rear and then at the bottom of the car on the rear lower bumper it almost tries to look like a skid plate there’s a tow package here this Receiver right here actually Honda said this is rated to pull twice the gross vehicle weight so if you actually get it stuck it has some recovery tow hook tow hooks there to kind of help you get unstuck.
